35005 “Canadian Pacific” Celebrates Her One Year Anniversary of Service on The Watercress Line! Enjoy! On Wednesday the 19th March 2025 at 11:00, exactly one year ago on the time this video releases, Bulleid Pacific Merchant Navy Class No. 35005 “Canadian Pacific” returned to service on the Watercress Line, with a private supporters run as the first trip up. Those involved in the overhaul or donated a certain amount of money for tickets were invited along. Now, one year later, the 8P has been working fabulously, generating crowds of people from far and wide to come and see this fabulous locomotive, especially with the Watercress Line being the only heritage railway in the country to offer a Merchant Navy class on regular service. Over the last year, she has proven to be a stalwart of the railway, covering for locomotive failures, last minute changes and longer trains being needed due to overbooking, double headed with another Bulleid Pacific and even starred at Steam Illuminations, being the first rebuilt Bulleid to do so. This video is a compilation that showcases the brilliance of this fabulous piece of kit, that has been an absolute joy to us at the railway, keeping us running throughout the year. I cannot believe that it has been one year since she has returned, time has flown by! Here’s to 9 more years of pure hellfire behind one of the best locomotives in the country!
