26 Sept 2025: This ride was one of the most thrilling and unpredictable parts of our Ladakh expedition. On 26th September 2025, we left Hunder Village in the Nubra Valley, bound for the legendary Pangong Lake. But fate had other plans — the Shyok Valley route was closed due to landslides, forcing us onto a far more challenging, remote path: Warila Pass → Changla Pass → Pangong Lake. The result? One of the most breathtaking (and exhausting) rides of the entire trip. 🌄 Route Overview: 1️⃣ Warila Pass (17,300 ft) – Narrow, rugged, almost deserted roads through pure wilderness. 2️⃣ Changla Pass (17,688 ft) – The second-highest motorable road in the region, known for its unpredictable weather and icy winds. 3️⃣ Final Destination: Pangong Tso — the mystical blue lake sitting at 14,270 ft. 🕖 Ride Summary: 7:00 AM: Breakfast in Hunder Village and early departure. Morning: Rode past Agham and climbed toward Warila Pass, one of the least-traveled routes in Ladakh. Afternoon: Lunch stop at Shakti Village before beginning the long climb to Changla Pass. Evening: Descended to the shimmering Pangong Lake, where we stayed at Barley Cabin, Merak. 🎬 Video Highlights: Crossing two high mountain passes in one day Stunning Himalayan landscapes with zero traffic POV footage of narrow trails and sudden weather shifts Reaching Pangong Lake just in time for sunset Raw sounds of the wind, the bike, and the mountains — no filters Shot with Insta360 Ace 2 (POV) for a complete experience — you can see the road, the rider, and the vast expanse of Ladakh around every curve. 🌐 About Pangong Lake: Altitude: 14,270 ft | Length: 134 km | 60% lies in Tibet (China) Known for its surreal color shifts — turquoise, deep blue, golden at dusk Despite looking pristine, it’s saline and even freezes solid in winter 🏕️ Stay: Barley Cabin, Merak — a quiet retreat right by the lake, surrounded by barley fields and endless silence. 📍 Route: Hunder → Agham → Warila Pass → Shakti → Changla Pass → Pangong Lake (Merak) 📅 Date: 26th September 2025 🏍️ Bike: Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 🎥 Cameras: Insta360 Ace 2 & Insta360 X2 🎵 Experience the real sounds of the Himalayas – no cinematic filters. 👉 Watch the full Ladakh Motorcycle Adventure 2025 Series for the complete journey from Manali → Zanskar → Leh → Nubra → Pangong → Umling La → Hanle → Manali!
