This is day 4 of our 8 day hike in Yellowstone National Park from the Heart Lake trailhead to the Thorofare Ranger Station, and out the 9 Mile Trailhead. We left Campsite 6M5, on Two Oceans Pass, and headed up towards Mariposa Lake. It rained on and off throughout the day, and turned out to be our longest, day, that ended with a chest deep crossing of the Yellowstone River. I was hoping for a bear sighting around Mariposa Lake. We heard a lot of noise off trail, but we did not see anything. This stretch had some of the prettiest high mountain meadows, and scenery on the whole trip. we totaled 12.98 miles, ending at campsite 6Y4 please give a thumbs up and subscribe!
