🎣 This is Episode 2, Part 1 of our series on @TechnoGlowProducts . In Episode 1, we covered the characteristics of phosphorescent powders and offered a selection guide to help you choose the right product for your application. Make sure you watch that one first, as this one builds on it. You can see that here: • Best Glow Powders and Paints for Fishing L... In this episode, we focus on airbrushing a glow base and discuss common glow products available off the shelf. We get into: The economics of buying vs making your own glow paint Mixture ratios by both volume and mass How to convert volume ratios to mass ratios for better accuracy Why mass is easier to measure precisely than volume Once we’ve mixed the product correctly (4:1 by volume or 2.2:1 by mass), we walk through the best airbrush and compressor settings to get the job done quickly and cleanly. Note that the mass calculation is specifically for 35 micron non-encapsulated UV glow powder. This will vary based on product, but a good place to start is 2:1 by mass. We then apply the glow base to two lure types: A hollow plastic crankbait (3 coats) A metal trolling spoon (5 coats) We'll bring this project from scratch through airbrushed glow bases, but you'll get a sneak preview of the bait we built on this project, a spoon called the "Beef Pounder". Episode 2, part 2 will show that complete build. This series is built around understanding—not just following instructions. We explain the “why” behind each step so you can adapt the process to your own builds. If you find the content valuable, please consider liking, subscribing, and sharing.
