(Build video here: • Eachine T-28 Trojan - Brushless Mod - Main... ) I got the T-28 up again for a second try at a full maiden flight. I got some good air time and the plane few well, but again the elevator servo suddenly stuck in the full-up position. THIS time it happened at full throttle, and instead of stalling like the first time it went into a series of unintended loops. I cut throttle as it completed the 3rd loop and it hit the ground softly and without damage. A quick exam showed that the elevator had moved to neutral again from the impact, but as soon as I moved the right stick it locked in full-up position again. BEFORE the servo went bye-bye I was having a lot of fun. The plane is light, quick and very maneuverable. It's not as fast as my planes with bigger 1205 motors and 10A ESCs but it's ideal for this smallish field. So, despite the bum servo I am declaring this 'Brushless T-28 Trojan' project a success. No complaints about how it flies at all. Very maneuverable. There's no thing I want to change in the design. I have already pulled the old AS6410L out and am refitting the plane with another receiver of the same make and will deal with troubleshooting the brick with the sticking servo later. I can't wait to get it back up there. I still need to re-program AS3X on the new board for proper orientation once it is installed, but that's no biggie. Happy flying!
