Haunted Mansion Disneyland Original 1969 Attic Beating Heart Bride & Screaming Ghouls audio

This is my 5 minute loop for the original 1969 version of the audio in the Attic at Haunted Mansion at Disneyland. This classic audio featured two sound effects, the constant loop of the Beating Heart of the Bride, and the screams of the pop up Ghouls. The original Beating Heart Bride lasted in three versions, before being removed in 2006 for Constance, and then thankfully being reimagined with a new and updated take on the classic versions, complete with the iconic thumping beating heart in Jan 2025. The first was from 1969 until the late 1970's or early 80's, the second lasted until 1995, and the third was from 1995-2006. This video features pictures of the first two versions because there were some changes to this audio by 1995. The Pop up Ghouls sound was played until the same 1995 refurbishment where the third Bride was installed. However, some of these figures switched to a similar, but different sound around the time the second Bride was installed. I know this from comparing the 1973 and 1976 recordings to some videos from the 1980's and 90's. This video also features another famous figure that was only present for a week or two when the ride first opened in 1969, the Hatbox Ghost. The Hatbox Ghost was meant to be the Groom of the Beating Heart Bride. However, his signature of his head reappearing in his Hatbox didn't work in 1969, so he was removed shortly after opening. This ghost was a legend for years until some more details emerged in the age of the internet, including the one and only image which is at the end of this video. An updated Hatbox Ghost has appeared at the balcony of the current Attic since he was added in 2015 for Disneyland's 60th anniversary. In 1995 the pop up Ghouls received new audio where they screamed "I do!", and the current Wedding music and ghostly piano player was added. In 2006, the storyline was fundamentally altered when the Beating Heart Bride was replaced with Constance. This has her own story about chopping her husband's heads, but compared to the old Attic it doesn't fit in with the storytelling and aesthetics of this attraction. It took me many rides to get a decent idea of the Constance storyline, although some of that can be attributed to me being very young when she was added. It turns out that there was a 20 year contract with the actress who played Constance to allow her image in the ride, ending in 2026. This, combined with how in the last 10 or so years the technology on Constance has become incredibly outdated, and the fact that the effect never came across as very convincing to many in the first place, prompted Kim Irvine to reimagine the original Beating Heart Bride with a new figure that combines an impressive practical dress that is accented with custom state of the art projections, one of a few instances of a projected face that works in my opinion, and a return of the original Beating Heart. There is also a projected window which blends in a lot better than it could have. I think this aspect of the refurb was handled very well. Kim Irvine did a fantastic job with it.
