Days 91-101 ~ Miles 1066.6-1219.9 Mason Dixon Line Maryland/Pennsylvania to Port Clinton, PA Officially reached the halfway mark and into Pennsylvania! Everything they say about Pennsylvania is true..it sucks. Crossed 1100 miles. The rocks start instantly. Attempted the Half Gallon Challenge and failed miserably. Walked through open farm fields in the blazing July sun. Took a 6 hour afternoon break in Boiling Springs, PA until the sun went down. Went on to complete my biggest mileage day on trail at 26.4 miles. Witnessed the BEST lightning bug show I've ever seen. Had a fun time spending the night in Duncannon, PA in the church basement and out on the town. Climbed up and over a train blocking the trail. Ate one of the best trail magics on trail involving mimosas. Rented out a beautiful Airbnb for the 4th of July. Spontaneously decided to go ride some roller coasters at Hershey Park. Came face to face with multiple rattlesnakes. Crossed 1200 miles. Swung from a rope swing into the coldest water on the east coast. And found out Port Clinton is the least hiker friendly town on trail, besides the barber shop which I would rate 10/10.
