Forging a Double Axe from Old Bearing Ring | Handmade Blacksmith Project ‎ ‎In this project I transformed an old bearing ring into a strong and beautiful handmade double axe. ‎ ‎First I heated the bearing ring in fire until it became red hot and workable. After proper heating I used a hammer to carefully forge the shape of a double axe head. ‎ ‎Once the basic shape was completed I made a hole for fitting the wooden handle. After that I used a grinder to refine the edges and smooth the surface so the axe would look clean sharp and professional. ‎ ‎Then I performed the heat treatment process to harden and strengthen the steel making the axe durable and long-lasting. After heat treatment I polished the axe head to give it a shiny and attractive finish. ‎ ‎Finally I fitted a strong wooden handle and completed the build.
