Forging a Strong Axe from Scrap Steel Rod ‎ In this project I took an old scrap steel rod and transformed it into a strong and beautiful handmade axe. ‎ ‎First I cut a suitable piece from the scrap rod using a grinder. After cutting I heated the steel piece in fire until it became red hot and soft enough to shape. Then with the help of a hammer I forged the basic shape of the axe head. ‎ ‎Once the shape was formed I used a grinder to refine the edges and smooth the surface. After grinding I reheated the axe head and performed the heat treatment process to harden the steel. This step made the blade strong durable and long-lasting. ‎ ‎After heat treatment I polished the axe using a grinder to give it a clean and professional finish. Finally I fitted a strong handle to complete the tool. ‎ ‎In the end I tested the axe and the result was successful.
