The 6th Sindh Literature Festival (SLF) was held in Karachi in March 2023 and was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah. At the festival, a session was held focused on the themes of bravery, struggle, and love in Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai’s poetry, particularly in relation to women. In this session, renowned writer Professor Sahar Gul recited Shah Latif’s poetry and explained how Bhittai portrayed women as heroes through his verses. Professor Sahar Gul stated that Shah Latif was a true feminist poet who celebrated the courage, love, and dignity of women in his poetry.
