Hey everyone, welcome back to the channel. This is Week 21 — six days wrapped into a sharp 16‑minute update. The week didn’t exactly kick off smoothly. Sunday continued with rain and strong winds, but the rain eased enough by Monday to get the drone up, even if the water clarity took a few days to recover after the much‑needed rain. Also on Sunday, one of the dozers threw a track and ended up stranded in the middle of the island until it was repaired on Monday and back on-track Tuesday - pardon the pun!!! The big development this week is that both dredges are relocated and now pumping into two separate areas instead of the main island wall. The larger dredge (Arnhem) at the bar is continuing to build up the main island and raise the height of the sand wall. Then on Friday, the smaller dredge has relocated for the first time south and began pumping into the small bay beside their work station on the inside of Bribie Island, feeding into the Pumicestone Passage. Up at the bar, the larger dredge has already deepened the channel beyond what it was previously — you’ll see it clearly in the footage — and it’s now angled directly toward the narrow sandbank access they’re working to open. So heading into this coming week, we should finally see that access break through greatly, allowing a much stronger flow of water into the Bulcock Beach area. Enjoy — see you all next week.
