An Insight into Modern Languages at Newcastle University

Now that you've submitted your application to study Modern Languages with us, you may be thinking 'What's it really like to be a student at Newcastle University?'  To answer all of your questions we'll be holding a live webinar on the 28th March from 12pm so you can hear, first-hand, from current Modern Languages students, just exactly what it's like to study here. Our panel of friendly experts includes Damien Hill, Lecturer in French Linguistics and specialist in regional accents and Poppy Shuttleworth, a final year German and Spanish student, who spent her year abroad working as an English Language Assistant in France. They will also be joined by Liz Anderson, Head of School, who teaches German language, literature and film as well as fourth year student Seonaid O'Gorman, who is currently studying German, French and Dutch. Seonaid spent part of her year abroad working for the British Council in France as an English Language Assistant and then moved to  Berlin to take an additional language course.
