Entry #11 — Sliven to Tvarditsa ~60 km total · Rain start · Village sleep · Submerged Church (not submerged this time) This one was completely random. It started in the rain. No big plan. Just madness. Day 1 — around 20 km. Pouring rain, quiet (as quite as they could have been) roads. We rested the night in my village. Day 2 — 40 km on the bike. And on that same day we decided: let’s go to the submerged church near Tvarditsa. We rode through small Bulgarian villages, empty roads, open fields. The mountain in the distance was covered in a thin layer of snow from the day before. Mist hanging low. That eerie, slightly daunting atmosphere — but in a good way. The kind that makes you feel small, free and alive at the same time. The “submerged” church wasn’t underwater this time. But standing there, isolated, with the grey sky and silence around us — it felt like something out of another world. (+ a beautiful white & orange cat welcomed us) An adventure for a lifetime with Dimitar Terziev. No big goal. Just movement, weather, and the road.
