A few weeks ago, Nick informed me of a meetup he and some others were planning. I hardly ever venture out further than maybe Dayton for hobby-related expeditions, but this meetup sounded really fun to go to, so I made plans with my grandma to take a trip up here. This is, by a long shot, the farthest I have ever gone for a siren test. Our original plan was to see the Bolt at Secret Park, but shortly before we met up we changed plans and headed over to the one at Pine Street. We were the first to get there, with 45 minutes to wait (we left reeeally early because Cincinnati interstate traffic is extremely unpredictable sometimes). We were (or at least I was) expecting about six or sev— …between five and eight people to meet up, but some-how-some-way, about twenty folks showed up. The majority of us set up in the service lot of the plumbing company across the street. By :58 or :59 we had all gone silent. We heard Secret Park and the nearer T-128 wind up, but ours never did. This wasn't really a "failure" per se, as we found out via the FD that they had been doing maintenance on that siren (we noticed it had a new power disconnect switch on it) and it wasn't back online yet. Wish we had known that before we decided to go to this one. It was still a very fun meetup regardless. Me, Nick, Jack, Alex, Tommy, Connor, and Dylan went to a restaurant across town and we all talked for a while. For being my first NE Ohio meetup, it was actually really neat and I wanna go up there again.
