I spent six months living outside in the jungle of Colombia. I rented a house in the Cundinamarca province that had no walls, so I was fully immersed in the jungle. The air was warm, humid, and full of tropical life, and I shared my days with everything from black widow spiders and scorpions to thousands of caterpillars, plus birds, bats, butterflies, and other wildlife. My mornings were spent on the wooden platform making tea, cooking breakfast, and doing yoga surrounded entirely by nature. I explored the nearby creek, danced like no one was watching (because no one was!), and truly lived a life in sync with the rhythm of the jungle. 🌿 The nights were unforgettable- storms rolled through, bats flew into the house (and hit me- twice!) The caterpillar infestations were intense, covering the floors and me. But despite all that, I discovered I actually prefer living outside, completely immersed in the natural world.
