Lately I’ve noticed something that feels… strange. I go out, the music is on, the energy is there, and almost no one is dancing. This isn’t a critique of any generation or a “things were better in my day” conversation. It’s genuine curiosity. Because recently I experienced the opposite: a mom’s night out where the dance floor was packed, the joy was palpable, and the aliveness in the room was undeniable. It reminded me that dancing is ancient. Primal. Human. It’s how we’ve always expressed emotion, built community, celebrated, rebelled, and connected with our bodies and each other. So what’s changed? In this video I explore: ✨ Why dancing matters on a nervous system and soul level ✨ What we lose when we stop moving together ✨ The difference between being present in our bodies vs. observing from the sidelines ✨ How cultural shifts, social media, and self-consciousness may be shaping our relationship to the dance floor And I’m opening the conversation, especially to Gen Z, because I don’t want to project my own norms onto your experience. I truly want to understand: Are you feeling the same hesitation? Does dancing look different now? Where do you feel free and embodied? Because when we move together, something powerful happens. Something that has existed for thousands of years. We were meant to dance. Tell me your experience in the comments, do people dance where you go out?
