In the shadows of the Ukraine war, a remarkable group of women is defending their country in a way the world rarely sees. They call themselves the “Witches of Bucha.” During my recent reporting trip to Ukraine, I met these extraordinary women who spend their nights scanning the skies, tracking and disabling Russian drones using skill, grit, and cutting-edge tech. They are mothers, professionals, volunteers — and now, protectors of Ukraine’s airspace. Far from the front line but deeply embedded in the war effort, their work is saving lives every day. In this video, you’ll see: Who the Witches of Bucha are How they detect and hunt down Russian drones The dangers, exhaustion, and emotional toll they face Their motivations, their fears, and their unshakable courage What their work reveals about the new face of modern warfare Ukraine’s lesser-known stories of resistance and resilience This is not just a war story. It is a story of women rewriting the meaning of bravery in a country under fire. If you want to understand Ukraine beyond the headlines, watch this report to the end. Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe for more on-the-ground reporting.
