RV TV Wall Mount… Measure 10 times, Drill twice?!

Well this was our second attempt in installing a TV mount in our new 5th wheel. The first time (though ending in success) did not quite go as planned. It turns out you need an advanced math degree to work out the computations. Or at least an understanding of basic geometry. I did wind up drilling an extra set of holes for that project but everything turned out great in the end. The current project was at least a lot more forgiving. I had plenty of space surrounding where the TV was to be mounted. A far cry better than threading the needle in the first go around. We had purchased the 24” insignia TV on sale at Best Buy on a Holiday Special and apparently caught a great deal on the TV mount last weekend on Amazon. We bought the USX MOUNT Full Motion Lockable TV Wall Mount for RV for 10-26 Inch LED (rated for up to 33 lbs). Two days ago we paid $16.99 and today it’s listed for $26… go figure. We got lucky. It was a pretty simple installation but I can’t emphasize enough the importance of double checking your measuring before drilling the holes. Second time was a charm.
