And the winner is…. What’s up guys, EIZ here of coznowEIZcan. Thanks for visiting my channel, this is where I share my thoughts feedback on tech items or gadgets that I use or pique my interest. Alright, today I will share with you guys which of the 2 White and Wireless gaming headphones, I reviewed previously, I will be keeping. After a good amount of time gaming with each of them and the occasional playlist runs, I did come to a decision. Just a quick recap: Pricepoint: Arctis 7 - $150 Void Pro - $100 Neodymium Magnets: Arctis 7 40mm Void PRO 50mm Compatibility: Arctis 7 PS4 + PC + Switch + Mobile xBOX - audio only Void PRO RGB PC Now, to be fair, both of them are great options at the pricepoint they are at. They will deliver the basics of good audio and good communication. But, against each other, it’s the Arctis 7 (2019 edition) for me. Let me give you the 3 main reasons why I did pick the Arctis 7 2019 edition FIT - this is definitely one of the key factors for me. The Arctis 7 or the Arctis line for that matter, does not have a huge range in terms of fit, but fortunately, it snuggly fits me. I like the clamping force and the comfort that it’s not going to fall-off my head when I get too excited or want to bob my head to the music. The VoidPro by Corsair would be more for bigger people. It is quite loose on me, plus I don’t get the security that it will stay put. In addition, the extension on the headband is not tight, so it’s pretty easy to accidentally extend it or adjust. 2) DESIGN - SteelSeries build just feels more Solid to me in every way. Nothing feels loose, or easily moved. The retractable microphone, is just brilliant, as it gives you the option to use it without the bother of any mic sticking out like on the VoidPro. UNlike the VoidPro, the button positionings are ideal on the Arctis 7 as it gives both ear-cup a role to play. PLUS the chatmix wheel, is just genius. You can easily adjust if you want to hear more of the game or the group. 3) AUDIO - Yes, the VoidPro is definitely louder than the SteelSeries. I do appreciate good volume specially if you want to be immersed in the game or music you are listening to. The VoidPro also has good positioning queues and sound separation is noticeable. There is good amount of rumble from the bass with the mids and highs still being present. I just found that often I find myself noticing some details are missed or mixed. Even after playing around the profiles on the app, still was not satisfied with the soundstage I get. The Arctis 7 was surprisingly close to the my Arctis Pro sound quality wise. Though it does not pack the volume range that the VoidPro has, it’s clarity and detail is undeniable, at least to my amateur ears. Bass is not as heavy as the VoidPro, but it is well represented. There is a good balance of crispness and mainstream audio and if you are not that satisfied, you can always do minute adjust on the app. During gaming, I was able to engage more while using the Arctis 7. There you go! Arctis 7 (2019) edition is my pick between the 2. Now, again, the VoidPro is not a bad option, specially that you save a few bucks; but if you have the spare and can go for the Arctis 7.
