I recently did this presentation doing a full deep dive into a real, high ticket web design and development project for Kev Ash, an artist in Jersey with a super unique character that needed to reflect in the design and I think any web designer, web developer or business owner out there could benefit from this information if they are trying to grow their business online. Oh and also this was before Island Web Design had staff so I did all this on my own! In this video I talk about how I landed the client and their problem and reason for needing a website in the first place. I talk about the design decisions and how working with another creative allowed us to really go outside the box and create something unique. I talk about how I put this together in Figma and how I used Photoshop to turn Kevs bad quality images into high quality mockups of his work. I even talk about how I wrote the copy for the site, how I thought about the language, how to frame Kev in the best light possible. I cover how we coded this project and how we built the cms with Sanity to allow Kev control to manage the site, add new art, new images and everything else. I talk about the training I provided Kev to make sure he knew how to use everything and I even cover how we promoted the website afterwards to get Kev the most exposure possible and the results we got from that.
