In today's video I wanted to cover how you can have a more focused practice and I think this would help a lot of players and also I will have different progressions you can make depending on your skill level as well. So say we are by ourselves and we want to practice our forehand. First thing I want you to do is pick an element of your forehand you want to work on. Weather it is more topspin Or Hitting the ball deeper in the court Or Giving more margin over the net Or work on directional control. in this video we are focusing on topspin. Now to create topspin we know the racquet has to move in an upward direction with my strings facing the target. The steeper my racquet path is the more spin I will get and more linear my racquet path is the more distance I will get so I am gonna try to find the right balance between the two to give me the desired result. Give yourself a goal of hitting a certain number of balls in the intended target. start with service box to service box. Once you achieve this now the target will shift to behind the service line and again we're gonna try to get to our target number. In the video you'll see me switching targets everytime i get to my target number and the MOST IMPORTANT THING is to keep the focus on hitting your targets with TOPSPIN. You can use different progressions depending on your skill level as you would see in the video.
