Durante il rito, le Vestali custodiscono e presentano il Fuoco Sacro 🔥(Ignis Sacrum, Sacred Fire), simbolo della vita eterna di Roma e della sua protezione divina. In questa rievocazione storica, officiata secondo i riti dell’antica religione romana, viene invocata la protezione degli Dèi sull’Urbe, sui suoi cittadini e sulla sua eredità millenaria. In the heart of the Eternal City, at the ancient Pantheon, the solemn Benedictio Urbi took place — a symbolic ceremony honoring Rome on the day of its foundation, the Dies Natalis Romae. During the rite, the Vestals guard and present the Sacred Fire (Ignis Sacrum), a symbol of Rome’s eternal life and divine protection. In this historical reenactment, performed according to the rites of the ancient Roman religion, the protection of the Gods is invoked over the Urbs, its citizens, and its millennia-old legacy.
