I chose the Stainless Steel Espresso Machine and it’s a beautiful brushed stainless steel. It’s actually easy to wipe down if you get any splatter on it and easy to clean. To start, we discuss the packaging, colour and have a look at the box. I included a montage of different clips of the product so you can see what we are opening up at the beginning. As we open it up, we go through each of the manuals and chat through what each one tells you to do. I then talk about registering your KitchenAid product and how to keep your manuals organised at home. As we open the box up, I first take out all the accessories (like the filters, tamper, etc) and we discuss each item in detail. Once we go through all the accessories, we take the Espresso Machine out of the box, set up the water tank, fill it up, plug it in and then we clean the machine thoroughly as directed in the user manual before use. We also cleaned the steam wand. Once the Espresso Machine is cleaned, I grab one of my favourite coffees to make an espresso using the 1 cup, pre-ground filter. Once the espresso is made, we also test out the steam wand to make some milk. I wasn’t able to froth it properly upon my first use, and the steam wand was a little long and inflexible. I have used it since and it gets quite hot and is not the easiest to use, so although making the espresso is easy, the steam wand takes a little more practice. I tried my coffee – which tasted great and then we jumped into a short review.
