Endogen v8.0 is about to be released \ External Input Recordings \ Sampler LFO \ Shift Register

With the addition of external input, Endogen has reached its independence as a true all-in-one system, where modal synthesis, additive synthesis, and advanced sampling coexist within the same sonic environment. The external input module is already incredibly fun to use, even with the cheapest built-in microphones found in most computers. In this clip, for example, I’m recording Endogen’s own output directly from the speakers through the Mac’s system mix and then routing it into the three buffers in Reservoir, Corpus 2D, and Phase Garden — the result is a form of real reamping. I also set the external recorder to be always listening, so I can capture anything instantly with lightning-fast speed, without breaking the creative flow. This makes the whole system even more spontaneous and performative, turning every sonic moment into potential material to explore and reshape. Reamping is a practice I deeply love. I even built an entire album released on Discreet Archive by reamping the whole sonic palette of Envion using this approach. When synthetic sounds pass through real physical space, they start behaving like surreal sound objects living inside a real environment. It’s one of the practices that feels most natural to my artistic process. If you’d like to listen to the album, I’ve added the link here. In the upcoming updates, LFO routing for the sampling section will be introduced, and perhaps, just perhaps a kind of unconventional sequencer for recorded material. What started as a simple idea has already grown into something much larger than the original project. For me, honestly, Endogen has become the sonic playground I’ve always dreamed of an environment to explore, rather than a tool to simply operate.
