Just when you think you've cleared all the headaches and complications with a project one more is just waiting in the darkness ready to pounce, but we will succeed! Our current challenge? How to get the automatic transmission from the Lincoln MKVIII Super Coupe mated up to our new '96 Mustang Cobra 4.6 DOHC motor! Should be a piece of cake right? The LSC had the same 4.6 right? Hmmm yeah not so much! There probably aren't a whole lot of people looking at doing this kind of swap but not too long ago the DOHC 4.6 Ford motors were some of the best power making units you could swap into a blue oval creation. Many people have no idea the power potential from these early Teksid blocks, though they may know the later generation of this same motor that came to power the 03-04 Mustang Cobra that earned the nickname of Terminator. So in this video you'll get some knowledge we've gleaned over the past few weeks trying to get over this hurdle so maybe it helps people looking to do a similar project or even just someone building a 4.6 Ford drag car with an automatic transmission behind it.
