Today we're going to be taking a look at the best wiring options for your 2008 Kia Sedona. Up top, we've got the Tekonsha T-1 vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number 118410. Next, we've got the CURT T-connector vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number C55503. Finally, we've got the Hopkins simple plug-in vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number HM11143955. The biggest difference that we're going to see between these wiring harnesses is that on the CURT and Hopkins, they're going to have about a foot longer 4-pole wiring than on the Tekonsha, and that's going to help in towing situations to where you may need a little bit of extra wire. On the Hopkins here, the last few feet of wire coming out towards the 4-pole plug come pre-wrapped to help protect it from any possible heat or rubbing on the ground or trailer. When we look at the module boxes on these wiring harnesses, the Hopkins is going to have the largest module box. Then, little bit smaller than that is the CURT. The smallest of the 3 is going to be here on the Tekonsha. With having a smaller module box, that's going to make it a little bit easier to find a good location to mount it when you're installing it. Another difference that you'll see, here on the Hopkins, it's going to have a much longer ground wire than on the other two wiring harnesses, so that's going to give you more options to where you'd be able to mount your box and still have a good grounding point. Another thing with the Hopkins is that the fuse that comes in the kit is rated at 20 amps as opposed to 10 amps with the other two kits. It also comes with a small pack of dielectric grease in order to put in all your electrical connections to help prevent erosion. We've got the Tekonsha T-1 installed in this Sedona. If we open up our spare tire tool area, we'll see that we've got our 4-pole wiring just wrapped up right inside there so it's nice and easy to access. With all of these wiring harnesses, the 4-pole wire will just pull out and you'll rest it there along the weather stripping away from the latch on the trunk, and you'll close it in there so that it's nice and easy to use. When you're done, you can take it, coil it back up and store it away, just like before. We hope this helps in the decision making process for wiring for your Kia Sedona.
