Join me on a travel adventure from Oaxaca back to Mexico City, one of the most vibrant capitals in the world! 🚍 After staying one night at Hotel Emperador—just 5 minutes from Oaxaca’s historic Zócalo—I head to the ADO bus station. Long-distance bus travel in Mexico is not only affordable but can also be surprisingly luxurious and ADO Platino offers pure comfort: a private lounge with free coffee, tea, snacks plus a smooth check-in process for luggage, just like at the airport. On board, I enjoy spacious seats, onboard entertainment, and a smooth 7-hour ride to Mexico City. Once in Mexico City, I check in at Hotel Castro and explore the local area. I’m surprised to find Olof Palme Park, dedicated to Sweden’s famous Prime Minister and peace activist. Walking through charming streets, I also discover the stunning Angel of Independence, the unique church Santísimo Redentor, and Mexico City’s lively gay district filled with bars, pride flags, and positive vibes 🌈. To finish the day, I treat myself to a delicious carrot cake from Peregrina Bakeshop before heading back to my hotel to rest up for tomorrow’s city tour.
