Stephen Rowlands: Head of Construction & Supply Chain. Stephen has worked with some of the industry’s leading contractors and specialists, including Babcock, Enterprise Power Services, Transmission Links Ireland, ATP and JM Murphy & Sons. Ilan Jones: Land Manager. Ilan is a Chartered Rural Surveyor (RICS) and a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV), with a strong background in land and estate management. Before joining Green GEN Cymru in 2023, he worked as an Estate Manager and Land Agent, building extensive experience working with landowners, farmers and rural estates. At GGC, Ilan is Land Manager, leading on land access, valuation and stakeholder engagement across complex energy infrastructure projects. Dewi Williams: Site Manager, PowerGrid Civils. External Contracted Expert. Together, they break down what ground investigation really involves, why it matters and how it shapes every decision we make. From working sensitively with landowners and adapting to individual circumstances, to using local expertise and preparing for what comes next. This is ground investigation explained clearly and candidly by the people with boots on the ground. Whether you’re part of the industry, following our projects, or simply curious about how the grid beneath your feet gets built, this uncovers the realities behind the work.
