FAQ’s: How long does your silk presses last? 2 weeks up to a month without touching up at all How do you get your silk presses to last without having to go over it? I wrap my hair every single night as shown in the video using a velcro hair wrap with a bonnet over it. Make sure the air is on when you shower so your roots don’t sweat. The most important is to not apply any product including edge control or oil. It’ll make the hair old and stiff sooner. Oil doesn’t add moisture it locks it in so it’s best to use oil on wet hair before blow drying. If you’d like to use oil I recommend biosilk. How did you grow your hair? Frequent trims, letting your scalp breathe from protective styles, and I did the big chop in 2019 How do you avoid breakage? Wear your hair down a lot, as much as possible. If you have to wear a bun or ponytail use silk/satin scrunchies only and wear them loosely. What temperature do you straighten on? 440F How often do you trim? Every 1-2 months depending on how my ends look Does your hair revert? For the most part no even if it does when I wrap it at night it’s back straight the next day.
