Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you a tribute video to all my favourite villains- the first tribute video I’ve ever made, first YouTube video and my biggest video project yet. I made this a few weeks ago and posted it to my Instagram account, DecidingNebula, and it took just about a week to make so like it and spam it to literally everyone you know including your crush until they like it too, cause they’ll think you’re really cool and awesome and worthy of dating if you do, I promise. Oh yeah and before I go on, yes YouTube I know I don’t own jack shit in this video, maybe chill the hell out and don’t take my video down for no good reason? Just maybe? Thanks. Ok, though I thought I’d be able to at first I didn’t actually manage to get everyone I wanted in here, hell I actually had to artificially increase the song’s length by having a repeat of the final chorus just to get who I did in and even then I’m missing alot- for example I wanted to get characters like Dr. Sivana, The Collector, Catwoman, Yellowjacket, General Di Ravello, General Deathshead, a few more Decepticons, Ocean Master, even Dr Doofensmirtz and Lord Business, and a bunch more. Doc Ock is one example of someone who was in there but I decided to instead focus on more obscure characters most others wouldn’t really think of and characters from less well known franchises, if for no other reason than to be unique and because I like them more. I also wanted to get a lot of characters who don’t even have video representation- like villains from books and exclusively comics like the Prelate Tem’Bhetek and Superior Iron Man, but I figured putting images and trying to make them work as videos would screw with the flow of the whole thing so I decided not to. Just know there’d be a lot more if they had appeared in some video media. Another thing you might wonder is “Neb, why is this guy/girl here and not this guy/girl?”, “where’s this guy from this movie?”, “where’s…etcetera ectera”- simply put, they’re not there. They're probably not a favourite, I dont know who they are, they got cut or if it’s someone I like enough I may have just forgot. Simple. I even included a few I don’t like that much but they just fit a certain soundbyte of the song so perfectly that I had to, so keep that in mind, and I also wanted to make the roster here as diverse as I could. The last thing to know is that anyone with several repeat clips means it’s probably a villain I like especially and wanted to give alot of leeway, though that’s not always the case and in some respects they just had several clips that fit too perfectly- for example the Prophet of Truth would probably appear more than Joker if the second joker clip with Harley didn’t fit so well, and Megatron, being my favourite villain of all time, probably would’ve appeared more if I were to do this again. Also the versions of characters used doesn’t necessarily mean they’re my favourite versions of said character, and so on and so forth. Anyway, last but not least I was greatly inspired to make this by a tribute maker known as Arkham Asylum! (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8qp...) His tribute videos to different villains have been some of my absolute favourite content on YouTube ever since 2018 now, and his work has introduced me to so much music I never would’ve learned of otherwise and has even given me appreciation for villains I never even considered that noteworthy. The song I used, Satan in Wonderland, was used in a recent tribute he made to a selection of villains, which over the course of this summer made me want to do the same cause the song feels so…right for a tribute to villains. Anyway, I owe a lot to this guy for this video, and alot of great experiences over the years to him too. I’m planning on making a heroes version of this to the Phenomenon by Thousand Foot Krutch but that’s going to be a long way off. I don’t know if I’m going to do tribute videos as a consistent thing or just as a pair of projects that I never do again, but for now, I don’t think that matters. Anyway, that’s all folks!
