Devil's Head Lookout: Most popular hike near Denver, Colorado? (Cinematic Vlog)

Welcome to the Devil's Head Fire Lookout near Denver, Colorado. This hike is 2.7 miles long (out and back) with an elevation change of 865 feet. The trail has a constant gain until you reach the lookout stairs. The last part requires you to climb 143 stairs to get to the lookout, but the views are worth it. You have 360-degree views of the area. The best times to visit the lookout are between April and November, but parking is very limited. We recommend you arrive as early as possible. The road to the lookout is usually closed between December 1st to April 1st. Dogs are welcome, but must be on leash and cannot be on the lookout tower. The structure was originally built in 1912 and later reconstructed in 1951. It sits at an elevation of 9708 feet and was placed in the National Registry of Historical Places in 1991.
