Change your car with Carwow: https://bit.ly/Change-Your-Car-26-02 Mat’s on the hunt to find the best fast estate he has ever driven! He’s been lucky enough to get his hands on a whole load of practical, insanely fast, and highly desirable super estates over the past few years. From compact V6 load-luggers through to ultra-heavy hybrid V8 monsters, Mat has had his hands on some of the quickest wagons in the world. But which one tops the list as his favourite? Let’s start with a look at the contenders. Starting with the BMW M3 Touring, it’s powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-six that produces 510hp and 650Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission, and the car weighs approximately 1,865kg. In terms of desirability, it’s easily one of the most highly anticipated M cars of the decade! Up next is the Mercedes-AMG C63 Estate. It’s powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid that produces a massive 680hp and 1,020Nm of torque. This power is sent to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic gearbox, and it weighs a rather hefty 2,145kg! But then it’s no surprise, given it's lugging around a plug-in hybrid battery system. Oh, and it has an approximate cost of nearly £100,000! Audi makes it to the list with the RS6 Performance. It’s powered by an almighty 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8. Thanks to some upgraded turbos, it can produce 630hp and 850Nm of torque. This power is sent to all four wheels, and it weighs 2,090kg - making it the ultimate autobahn-crushing missile! As for Audi's smaller sibling, Mat’s added the RS4 to the shortlist. It might be the baby of the bunch, but it’s powered by the famous 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 engine. This means the RS4 produces 450hp and 600Nm of torque, with power sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox! But wait, we can't forget the other AMG - the legendary E63 S! It packs a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that churns out 612hp and 850Nm. Power goes to all four wheels, but it even features a dedicated Drift Mode for when you want to drop the kids off and instantly shred some rear tyres! There’s one final car added to the list, and it's an absolute heavyweight - the brand-new BMW M5 Touring! Want to find out exactly how heavy this 727hp hybrid V8 beast is and if it can out-launch the rest? You’ll need to stick with Mat to see for yourself!
