Welcome to the latest instalment of our ‘Catch and Cook’ series where the aim is, not only to catch and cook fish, but to utilise as much as possible, the plethora of wild food that can be found in the woods, fields, and coastline of the UK. Add to this an abundance of home-grown vegetables and the culinary options are vast. In this episode, we scour the woods for some gourmet fungi and raid the allotment for some seasonal veg, before setting out on the hunt of one of the most common fish species in the country, the Dogfish. On most occasions, the humble Dogfish can become a bit of a pest, however, today we are relying on one for dinner.
