Now we all know that most batches of Voith Enviro 400s from the Euro 5 era are completely watered down and only have something to show on a hill where it'll stay in the same gear until thy kingdom come... well... we have a slight difference here. Besides suffering in derate, it's does rev all the way up here! doing what it can to get moving and most certainly not saying no to a downshift. So we're kind of sitting on the fence here... hence the title as yes it is shifting, but is it reallyyy going anywhere. 🤣 Similar mode to the likes of DW201's video which on a normal day is usually heard upshifting very early allowing no room for torque to do it's thing! On a late-night deadrun, ADE40305 is floored through the empty roads, allowing for full acceleration into 4th gear, countless downshifts, some trickery... harnessing some slipping/over-revving downshifts, and a few spells of top speed action! One thing about these Voith's is that one, they'll always sound good regardless of speed, and two... once they're in the final gear and around 35-40mph, they go!
