Today, I’ll show you how to make this super cute and easy strappy baby frock. It’s a layered design, perfect for your little one. Let’s get started!” [Materials Needed] 1. Fabric – Cotton or any soft fabric (1.5 to 2 meters) 2. Matching thread 3. Elastic for the top (for the gathered bodice) 4. Buttons – decorative ones 5. Scissors 6. Measuring tape 7. Sewing machine [Step 1: Cutting the Fabric] • Bodice: Measure around your baby’s chest. For the front and back pieces, cut two rectangles using these measurements plus extra for seam allowance. • Skirt Layers: Cut three layers for the skirt. Each layer should be wider than the previous one for a full, flowy effect. • Straps: Cut two strips for the straps, each about 1 inch wide and long enough to go over the shoulders. [Step 2: Preparing the Bodice] • Elastic Gathering: On both the front and back bodice pieces, sew an elastic channel at the top edge. Insert the elastic to gather the fabric nicely for a snug fit. • Front Buttons: Place your decorative buttons in the center front, along with a lace or ribbon for an extra cute touch. [Step 3: Attaching the Skirt Layers] • Layering: Start with the bottom-most layer. Sew the first layer to the bodice, and then continue adding the next layers one by one, each time gathering the fabric a bit for that fluffy, tiered look. [Step 4: Adding the Straps] • Sew the straps onto the bodice, making sure they’re equally spaced and long enough to sit comfortably on the shoulders.
