NAPS NLL = No Agent, Premium, Specialty & Life Lost Banana Investments Advisory: Three 0-4 Banana Investments Advisories(BIA): Cost 49,245 ; Yield 7,423 per round (59,385 in 8 rounds) Two 4-2 Banana Research Facilities(BRF): Cost 52,700 ; Yield 6,000 per round First & foremost, BIA is a better farm alternative only when minimal reinvestment is involved, which is around three BIA or two BRF or fewer. beyond that, BRF is better due to its reinvestment speed. With a bit of withdrawal planning, the saving vs farming dilemma also becomes more manageable, especially apparent if you had a hard time setting up a BRF. Moreover, the often 3 rounds lead, 10k cheaper cost and 6 rounds break even mean a single BIA could offer greater utility value towards round 40~60. Also, for Dartling Guns. Sadly, its usefulness diminishes tremendously after the first BIA. Thus the unpopularity in BTD5. Farming Strategy: A common strategy is to get four 2-0 & one 0-0 farms, save up, then sell all the 2-0 farms and upgrade the 0-0 farm to 0-4 in one shot. This is because both 2-2 & 2-3 farms are neither as cost-effective nor as easily attainable compared to a few 2-0 farms. Use the following withdrawal cycle for maximum profit, 0-4 BIA - 8 rounds cycle, yields 19,795 (2474 per round) 2-4 BIA - 7 rounds cycle, yields 18,286 (2612 per round) Only choose 2-4 if the shorter cycle is desirable. Plan ahead to withdraw before key rounds like 49, 63, 77 & 78 can be particularly helpful (Notice the 7 multiple?). The adjustment can be done with shorter withdrawal cycle or a few strategic premature withdrawals. Premature Withdrawal: In term of cost effectiveness, 0-4 BIA becomes better than 2-0 farm after just 2 rounds. So, running a 2 rounds withdrawal cycle essentially makes it a compact version of 2-0 farms, plus a chance to improve cost effectiveness if you wait longer. Useful when it is rather difficult to get a BRF. However, premature withdrawal doesn't necessary means lower profit. Imagine that a new BIA have to be sold after 12 rounds. Here, there are two ways to get maximum profit: round 8 & 12; yields 26,236 round 4 & 12; yields 26,236 The round 4 premature withdrawal can even fund the next BIA earlier and becomes more profitable in the end. On the other hand, emergency withdrawals at the early stage could be seen as splitting that round 4 & 8 into round 2, 2 & 8. The actual loss of doing so is quite small in the long run. Cost Effectiveness Comparison: Calculated as [ money generated per round / total building cost ] in hard difficulty 1) Banana Farm 0-3 Farm: 7.1% (7 rounds cycle) 0-0 Farm: 7.4% (not under a village) 2-3 Farm: 7.6% (5 rounds cycle) 1-0 Farm: 8.5% (not under a village) 3-0 Farm: 8.7% 2-0 Farm: 8.9% (not under a village) 2-0 Farm: 9.9% 4-2 Farm: 12.7% 2-4 Farm: 15.9% (7 rounds cycle) 0-4 Farm: according to withdrawal cycle - 1 round - 8.1% 2 rounds - 8.9% 3 rounds - 9.9% 4 rounds - 10.9% 5 rounds - 12.1% 6 rounds - 13.4% 7 rounds - 15.0% 8 rounds - 16.8% 9 rounds - 15.0% 2) Monkey Town - The hidden gem that only cost 10,800 Round 48~85 - 12.2% Round 69~85 - 15.4% Round 81~85 - 21.9% Credit: Music - Nevada by Psychadelik Pedestrian Video Editing Program - Blender 2.78c Farming Guide - Banana Farm General Information v4.1 by peponzio The series is now concluded.
