Dear all who love Eagon Concert A small concert that humbly began in the fall of 1990 to share the warmth of music with the local community marks the 32nd anniversary this year. The Eagon Concert was held every single year, even amid difficult times, and this would not have been possible without your unceasing support and the Eagon Family’s dedication. I sincerely appreciate your unwavering support and affection. Eagon Concert has annually invited talented artists and presented quality performances, touching the hearts of audiences through music. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided to bring this year’s concert online, putting your safety first. I am hoping for your kind understanding regarding the situation. This year, Alexander Krichel, a renowned German pianist, and the Philharmonic String Quartet founded by artists representing the young generation of the Berlin Philharmonic musicians will join Eagon Concert and present heart-moving performances. Alexander Krichel has broadened his boundaries globally beyond Europe with his exceptional skills and impressive musical interpretations. At the concert, he will play Pictures at an Exhibition by Mussorgsky and Piano Quintet No.2, Op.81 by Dvořák. I hope his performance will soothe your heart in these challenging times. Eagon Concert, which sprouted from a tiny “seed” to share hope and touching moments, has grown into a rich “forest” called culture, thanks to your love and support. Next year, I hope the 33rd Eagon Concert to be held offline as usual and share inspirational moments created by music. Young-ju Park On behalf of the Eagon Family in the Fall of 2021 About the Artist Alexander Krichel is a German pianist who has been an active soloist on the European music scene. A winner of the 2013 ECHO Klassik, also called the German Grammy Awards, Krichel has collaborated with globally renowned conductors and orchestras. In May 2020, when offline concerts were unavailable due to the pandemic, he grabbed much attention by holding the world’s first drive-in concert, a whole new concert format. For this year’s Eagon Concert, Krichel will collaborate with the Philharmonic String Quartet Berlin representing the young generation of the Berlin Philharmonic musicians and will captivate audience members. The Philharmonic String Quartet Berlin The Philharmonic String Quartet Berlin was founded by versatile and artistically passionate artists who represent the young generation musicians of the Berlin Philharmonic: Dorian Xhoxhi (violin); Helena Madoka Berg (violin); Christoph Heesch (cello); and Kyung-min Park (viola), who is the first Korean permanent member of the Berlin Philharmonic. With ample ensemble experience, they delight listeners with fresh impetus. [Program] Ⅰ. Mussorgsky, Pictures at an Exhibition Ⅱ. Having felt the power and warmth of music at the concert, he decided to hold free concerts as a small effort to return the support and love that the company receives from the its community. This was the beginning of Eagon Concerts. Ever since the first concert of Academia Wind Quintet Prague on a small stage set up in Eagon Industrial’s factory in October 1990, Eagon Concerts have been held annually and across Korea, with heartwarming music of world-renowned musicians including Wendell Brunious Jazz Band (the 7th), Linos-Ensemble (the 16th), and Berlin Philharmonic Camerata (the 26th), just to name a few.
