OVERLANDING IN ARIZONA

This was one of the Wildest adventures that push me to my limits .Drove down to Arizona through Salt Lake City into Moab Arches and rolled into Wickenburg Arizona to meet up with Rogue Overland. The plan was a 4 day offf road adventure. And did they deliver. The second day of the tour we ended in a Blizzard while tackling Crown King Trail rated a 7 out of 10 on difficulty. I was out of my skill level and the pros had to guide me through some of the tougher obstacles. I was ready to quit the next day due to the heavy damage that my truck endured. The weather didn't help. The people of Rogue Overland are so incredibly kind and caring that I decide to finishing the tour. the next day the group headed out across the desert and worked our way down to the Verde river, Eventually made camp and had the best Potluck that brought everyone together. we created friendships and shared our adventure stories around a huge roaring fire. Good times! we said our goodbyes and left early the next morning (5:45 )and climbed out of the desert floor, as the sun came over the ridge. Really beautiful. the beauty of the desert helps with the 3 hour crawl to reach the highway. spent the next two days driving my way back to Gresham. putting in some long miles.The last day we hit bad weather coming home, with the 3 hour detour to The Dalles., we clocked in 870 miles that last day. Im the process of repairing some of the damage on the truck, felling a bit sick over some of the damage, but looking back. some adventures flow were everything goes well and you forget the details in time. others, things get tough and don't go as planned, those adventures sticks with you forever and changes you for the better. thank everyone,The whole Rogue Overland crew for support and guidance and the opportunity to grow.
