The Igba Boi system in Ala Igbo (Igbo land) is a traditional apprenticeship practice where a young person, learns a trade or business under the mentorship of an established business owner. This mentorship usually lasts for several years, during which the apprentice, referred to as the "boi," works for the mentor without wages. In return, the mentor provides training, board, and sometimes a small stipend. At the end of the apprenticeship, the mentor typically sets up the apprentice with some capital to start their own business, effectively helping them become economically independent and skilled in their trade. Do you think this systen is beneficial? Has it helped the Igbo economy? Find out from the interview
