Rift of the Necrodancer is the newest and most unique rhythm game I’ve ever seen taking the gameplay of Guitar Hero, but with a new twist to it. The whole gimmick is that enemies will attack you to the beat of the song, and you need to quickly assess their attacks to make your next move while on rhythm! I really like Rift of the Necrodancer since I first came to love the series when I played Crypt of the Necrodancer about a decade ago. I only have less than 200 hours in that game, but I still enjoy it very much and feel like I’ve had longer hours on it for some reason. I do also think of how crazy the possibility of other collaborations could happen since the Super Meat Boy, but may The Binding of Isaac could be a possibility. Could have other crazy collabs like last time where they had a Danganronpa collab in the original, or maybe even another Hatsune Miku collab! I swear, if Megalovania somehow makes it in here officially, I will lose it (mentally). Nonetheless, the soundtrack composed for this game has been absolutely amazing. Apparently Danny Baranowsky’s music has been following me all throughout the past decade and a half of my life, so that’s cool. Jules Conroy would be so the same as well, and I did get to semi-meet him at a local concert, but he was just part of the crowd with this streamer and musician friends so I just stood anxiously away and tried to enjoy the concert the comedy concert was at was cool af. Alex Moukala was a really cool addition to the OST since I first found him among the 1000 singers getting along since a song from FFXIV. Josie Brechner being a really cool person creating some of the most impactful music, at least to me, to get me to want to start storyboarding again for animations. Lastly, Sam Webster and Nick Nausbaum are people I can’t find much on, but the games for the Playdate and the short-film Forty-Six was an absolutely great find! There is another rhythm game I plan on covering, so feel free to stick around because I’m really excited for this one!
