vivid/stasis is a game that I’ve had on my backlog for a couple years, and I was curious about coming back to it. I think after coming back to it, I can confidently say that it is definitely an indie rhythm game worth checking out! There’s so much to love about this game, and I am in love with both the music and the story! There are a lot of tracks that I’ve never heard from before so it all feels so fresh and new like there’s nothing familiar holding my hand to get into this game, and I like that feeling of exploration and trying what awesome things this game offers! Not to forget the story, oh my gosh, I LOVE THE STORY!!! This… video is not what you’d call a coping mechanism as I’d wait for the next update on March 22nd, but just a simple widdle obsession, y’know what I mean? The story itself is fascinating and caught me off guard in how it’d present itself. From what I simply saw in 2023 as something that was optional to know something I’d say it is very well-worth experiencing yourself! What I think is also crazy is that it has an ARG element to it with how it presents puzzles for the player, and even if you don’t know what to do, there are players willing to help each other! cough cough i added a steam guide in the description *cough*. Aside from the story, the community are all cool af, and they seem super friendly! The official discord community is super chill, and I love checking out fanart people make, which gets me more inspired to work on art of my own! It’s also super cool checking out their previous tournament, the Summer Sunrise 2024, and seeing how they hosted the tournament as well as seeing the top players compete with one another! Not to forget, while I was doing a bit of research, I found A-Saph, composer and streamer, who does stream new chapters when they come out, and are friends with the devs so I got to hear some design insights on her stream for the Final Chapter: Part 1. I definitely recommend checking her channel and music out! While making this video, there has been several updates actually improving the game, and the accessibility to players. I’d say the updates actually improve the game quite a lot making it a lot more friendly for new people that’d want to get into it! It actually helped me record new footage a whole lot more easily so that really helped! Finally, this video has been a journey to make! I’d definitely recommend checking the game out if you’d like to play a rhythm game! Also still thinking about making that vr chat video series! Probably.
