PBSC Expands Respiratory Care Lab to Train Next Generation of Healthcare Professionals

Palm Beach State College celebrated the opening of its expanded Respiratory Care Clinical Laboratory at the Palm Beach Gardens campus on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025. The upgraded lab in the Phillip D. Lewis Center enhances hands-on training for students entering one of the region's most in-demand #healthcare careers. The project was supported by $700,000 in federal funding secured with help from U.S. Congresswoman Lois Frankel, who joined faculty, students, staff and community partners for the ribbon-cutting. The expanded facility now includes a 2,372-square-foot clinical lab and a renovated 1,162-square-foot classroom, strengthening workforce training and healthcare education at PBSC.
