Block three of the old Science Foundation course covering basic Earth sciences, or what we used to call looking at rocks. Even for the 1990s this was pretty epic photography. Probably hotter than trying to film your sausages under the grill. Not for the faint-hearted. Indeed, as the video points out, only crazy people get too close. Crazy dead people. For your added 'edutainment', this video is followed by the short 'Keeping Up' post script, a must for all OU students, battling as they are against school runs, difficult assignments, paying the bills, etc etc. Seriously though, it's an honest summary of the ups and downs one might experience as an Open University student. Trust me, I've been there. Alas, this upload subject to the usual caveats; the copyright holders have the final say on whether you can see this or whether you can't, not me. So if it disappears, ya know what happened. (Update: As if to prove this, I've had to edit out a small (1 minute) section featuring an emergency worker running from the Mount Unzen pyroclastic flow, following a copyright claim which blocked the entire video, even though it isn't monetised. Them's the rules, I don't make 'em!)
