Neighbor's Tree Removal Job

Nighttime heavy rains combined with high winds uprooted a neighbor's tall cedar tree at its rotted lower fork, fortunately falling away from their house. But the other still-standing trunk was leaning precariously towards their house. Local tree companies were overwhelmed with work due to widespread storm damage. But Santiam Tree Service realized this extreme emergency. Quickly a climber and groundman were sent out in the rain and wind to safely section this remaining trunk down. Another neighbor and myself bucked up and hauled off the trunks to be split for his firewood. Several weeks later, the tree crew returned to fell more potentially hazardous trees close to the house. After the trees got felled, we all pitched in once again to handle the remainder of cleanup. Another neighbor with a one-man sawmill wanted some long trunk sections to mill into cedar planks. Shorter sections got bucked and split for more firewood. The chippings got hauled away by several of us for garden and fruit tree mulch.
