On July 17th, 2025, we raced towards Cheyenne, Wyoming, to catch Union Pacific's 4014 Big Boy bound for Denver, Colorado. As we arrived at our first location, the crossing and tracks were taken over by a dense fog, chilling the air and increasing the amount of steam 4014 would produce as the train departed Cheyenne at 10:00 AM, where 4014 chugged towards the Speer Wye, hopping on the UP Greeley Subdivision. As we chased 4014 towards Greeley, we got caught with the pacers and eventually beat 4014 and the pacers as the train crawled to a stop at Greeley. Our next shot was in Greeley, where the fog lifted, so we decided to wait for 4014 to depart at 12:01 PM, but the number of people ruined the shot. Despite this, we once again got caught with the pacers but beat the train towards the famous Commerce City Railroad Diamond, where 4014 crossed over after a stop at Adams hold up ahead. We then caught 4014 climbing the grade towards the UP North yard from the Pullman Wye on the UP's beltline branch. Then we caught 4014 backing into the North Yard near Utah Junction, where the train would stop for today and Friday. In the early morning of July 19th, we returned back to the North yard, where we caught 4014 departing at 6:30 AM, heading towards C&S junction to back down the UP Beltline once again. We returned back to the Commerce City Railroad Diamond to catch 4014 chugging by. Then we chased the train towards Greeley, catching shots in between the times before the whistle stop at Greeley and after until we arrived back at our first location from Thursday, catching 4014 returning back home, ending our trip. I hope you all enjoy this one as much as I did! If you noticed a difference in this video's editing. I am using new editing software called "DaVinci Resolve." Let me know how I did for this video!
