Stay safe and happy chasing! Although not the Pacific Northwest trip we were promised, I am glad to see the 4014 out on the mainline this year. Join us as we chase her from Cheyenne to Denver and back over the course of three days. Most clips shot with my Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max, with several shot on my Sony FDR-AX53, and a handful from my buddy's iPhone 12. Note that for this trip, the steam team placed 4014's service whistle (one of the ones she wore during her freight career in the 40s and 50s), which had been on the 844 since 2011, back on the 4014. This replaces the new-old-stock whistle that the UP placed on the 4014 when she was donated in 1962. Discharge from this port is normal when starting and stopping the injector, and when the injector switches between live steam and exhaust steam.
