A quiet day today....and not just because Andy couldn't speak with his sore throat! Despite cruising back North for 3 hours from Goytre Wharf we didn't pass a single boat. This meant it was just us, the canal and nature - exactly why we've fallen in love with this canal. It was perfect. As we arrive into Govilon we get indecisive and go straight past a mooring, which with hindsight we wished we'd stopped at - c'est la vie! The canal between this mooring and where we eventually stopped was just too bendy to contemplate reversing back. We walk along the old railway that past through the village. You're really never far from an old railway line on this canal, indicative of its industrial past. Since recording this we've been told we have been mispronouncing Govilon - we knew we'd get it wrong - a thousand apologies to our Welsh speaking friends!
