𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐝-𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐤 |Pasighat, February 28, 2026: A One Day National Workshop on “Strategies and Technologies for Enhancing Rapeseed-Mustard Production in the NEH Region” was successfully organised today by the College of Agriculture, Central Agricultural University (Imphal), Pasighat. The programme was funded by the ICAR-Directorate of Rapeseed & Mustard Research, Bharatpur. The programme was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Mahak Singh, Professor and Head (GPB), Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur. The Guest of Honour was Dr. Bhagirath Ram, Principal Scientist, ICAR-Directorate of Rapeseed & Mustard Research, Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The programme was chaired by Dr. Sanjay Swami, Professor and Dean, College of Agriculture, Central Agricultural University, Pasighat. The workshop was organised under the guidance of Organising Organising Secretary Dr. Senpon Ngomle, Assistant Professor, College of Agriculture, CAU(I), Pasighat and Secretary Dr. N. Surmina Devi, Associate Professor, College of Agriculture, CAU(I), Pasighat. During the workshop, experts shared practical knowledge on improved varieties, modern farming practices, pest and disease management, and technologies to increase rapeseed-mustard production in the NEH region. Farmers and participants actively interacted with the resource persons and cleared their doubts related to crop cultivation and productivity. A large number of women from nearby villages also attended the programme. The participation of local women farmers showed growing interest in adopting scientific farming methods and improving household income through better crop production. The organisers expressed hope that such awareness programmes will help farmers of the region to improve rapeseed-mustard yield and strengthen their livelihood through modern agricultural practices
