Backpacking the Pacific Crest Trail Section J | PCT 2021 // Section J on the PCT here in Washington is arguably some of the most beautiful terrain along the entire Pacific Crest Trail. Over the 70+ miles that spans from Snoqualmie Pass off of I-90 to Stevens Pass off of Highway 2, backpackers hike through the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. Along the way, the trail passes through meadows, talus fields, waterfalls, a burn area, countless lakes, numerous water crossings, old growth trees and includes plenty of incredible mountain views. Starting from Snoqualmie Pass off of I-90 and heading northbound, my friends, Dan and Stacy and I went backpacking on the Pacific Crest Trail Section J for 70.9 miles over 4 days until we reached Stevens Pass on Highway 2. In 2021, this would be my third time hiking Section J and my first time seeing this entire section of the PCT in warm, beautiful, sunny weather. We completed our trip September 3rd through September 6, 2021. EPISODE 2: The morning started off with a beautiful climb up from our tentsite at the pond to the top of Spectacle Lake. Then it was a huge descent down as the trail passed by the waterfall at Delate Creek and then through the old Lemah Meadow burn area. The Lemah Bridge was still out so we had our first water crossing of the trip. Then it was over and up a big climb to get to our lunch spot. After lunch was a beautiful two mile walk through a fragile area where camping wasn’t allowed, but there were plenty of incredible views of the nearby mountains. After the two-mile fragile area, there was one last descent down until we reached our tentsite near the Waptus River for the night. Total Mileage for Day 2: 20 Miles Total Ascent: 3,395 feet Total Descent: 5,262 feet 👉 Free Backpacking Gear Packing List: Never wonder if you packed the right gear again. https://the-hungry-hiker.ac-page.com/... ~~~GEAR I USED IN THIS VIDEO~~~ Pack https://alnk.to/g33nhy1 Tent https://alnk.to/3TUlyr5 Tent Footprint https://alnk.to/9bnTcTU Quilt https://alnk.to/gVDabHc Sleeping Pad https://alnk.to/hsnr8dF Lightweight Pump https://amzn.to/3izlWkw Pillow https://alnk.to/e6Z2uFJ Silk Liner https://alnk.to/9T0QX6j 13L Dry Sack https://alnk.to/eOE6LcO Synthetic Sleeping Booties https://alnk.to/3TT5BJT Stove https://alnk.to/aLBTOdz Spoon https://amzn.to/3ivFVi9 Food Bag https://alnk.to/e70D5kN DIY Food Cozy • DIY Backpacking Meal Cozy: Keep Your Backp...
