A bunch of celebrities are handing over their social media accounts to health experts. It's part of a new campaign called #passthemic to help share important facts about COVID-19. During COVID-19 we've seen celebrities do some things that are fun, surprising and maybe even a little odd. Celebs like Hugh Jackman, Julia Roberts and Millie Bobby Brown are all giving their social media accounts to experts. So they can talk about COVID-19. It's all part of the #passthemic campaign. It'll give people like health professionals and academics a chance to share facts, science and data about how to end COVID-19 using some of the most popular social media accounts in the world. So it won't be Julia Roberts talking on her account, it will be a doctor. The campaign will run for the next few weeks and all these celebs are hoping their massive followings will listen up. CYCLONE AMPHAN Eastern India and Bangladesh have been hit by a superstorm. More than fifteen people have died, and millions are in shelters. Cyclone Amphan stripped roofs and flattened buildings. And authorities are warning people to prepare for more flooding. GERMAN SQUIRREL A squirrel in Germany demanded a well-prepared table, a cool beverage, and a plate of nuts, seeds and raisins. Or at least, it's tricked a family into thinking it does. RUSSIAN DUCKS A family of ducks in Russia is still learning the road rules. Or maybe none of them could reach the pedestrian crossing button. Anyway, they were determined to cross this busy Moscow road, so the Russian National Guard gave them an official escort. ROBOT SHEEPDOG A Boston Dynamics robot has been taught to herd sheep in New Zealand to make life a little easier on farmers. The first tests have gone pretty well. __________________________________________ For the past 50 years, Behind the News has been helping to break down current issues and events for young people all around the world.
